Ristrutturare casa atto secondo: le cornici al soffitto

In questi giorni ho continuato i miei lavori di ristrutturazione e vi ricordate che avevo dato due mani di tinta alle pareti? Le avevo fatte rosse, adesso ho aggiunto un dettaglio semplice che armonizza lo stacco netto tra la parete e il soffitto: il famoso "gessolino".

In realtà quello che ho usato io non è in vero gesso ma polistirolo duro (sia per una questione economica sia perchè è più semplice applicarlo senza rischiare di romperlo). Ovviamente nonostante sia di colore bianco bisogna sempre passare uno strato di pittura in aggiunta perchè altrimenti si nota lo stacco con il soffitto. Il top dell'eleganza sarebbe avere le pareti e il soffitto bianco in stile total white, separati da una cornice semplice e incurvata che li unisce.

Per un effetto "nuvola" la resina è il must have: alcune case hanno pareti, soffitti e pavimenti  in resina bianca o cipria. In questo modo si evitano le scanalature delle mattonelle favorendo l'omogeneità del materiale e creando una sorta di continuità tra tutti gli elementi da non distinguere dove inizia il soffitto e dove finisce la parete. Questo trompe l'oeil regala un effetto nuvola all'ambiente.

 Purtroppo questo stile nella mia casa non va bene perchè è fatto per chi ha case open space, con ambienti grandi e aperti come cucina e salone insieme, oppure nei monolocali che in genere hanno tutto in un solo vano. Io ho molte stanze collegate da un lungo corridoio, per cui l'effetto nuvola si perderebbe. Non mi resta che pensare all'illuminazione della stanza e il mio pensiero è andato alle luci led: economiche, belle e luminose. Mi piacerebbe poterle disporre lungo il perimetro della stanza (sul soffitto oppure sul battiscopa) come in questo esempio

Who wants a slice of very italian pizza?

Neapolitan Pizza

A slice of homemade pizza on the base of italian recipe? Sounds good! The very tasty pizza is the neapolitan one, with real buffalo's mozzarella and sauce of S. Marzano tomatoes quality. Someone says it is better to use sparkling water, other one says is better warm water, i prefer still water at room temperature, but you can do like you want.



Take 500g of flour, 25g of yeast and dissove it into a cup of warm water. Add it on flour and mix together with other water until the dough is compact and smooth. Cover and let rise for two hours. Meanwhile cook the tomatos sauce and diced mozzarella.

Now take a piece of dought (200g about) and roll it with your hands to create a thin round. Spread the sauce over the circle of dough with a spoon (one spoon of sauce is enough), add a few leaves of basil, a little olive oil and bake 240°. A wood stove would be better, but if you have a convection oven is the same thing, if haven't i can suggest to put into the oven a glass of water and the result will be good!

Gli anni '60 hanno segnato nella storia dell'uomo un percorso importante fatto di conquiste, di novità e innovazioni. Un decennio prima in Italia arriva la televisione che sancisce un profondo cambiamento negli usi e costumi delle famiglie in generale: a livello nazionale ed internazionale le persone iniziano a muovere un passo verso la connessione globale. Attraverso lo schermo il cittadino di Roma può vedere cosa accade al cittadino di Milano e anche a quello di Londra. Nascono i primi programmi televisivi con scopo "pedagogico" cioè volti all'informazione e l'istruzione delle persone che guardano lo schermo a tubo catodico e nascono insieme ad essi anche programmi musicali rivolti ad un target giovanile, la nuova generazione anni 60 ribelle, innovativa e trasformista... La X Generation di cui tanto si è parlato e si parla ancora oggi.

Uomo anni 60

Come in ogni rivoluzione che si è diffusa in Europa a partire da quella industriale, anche in questo caso la culla del fermento è Londra. Capitale eclettica e stravagante che ha visto nascere ed accolto i migliori gruppi musicali dell'epoca. La trasmissione che ha consacrato al pubblico molte bands diventate poi famose è "Ready, Steady, Go!", un programma che fondeva al suo interno musica e moda per ispirare le nuove generazioni, come il nostro attuale "Top of the Pops".

Donna anni 60

La trasmissione andava in onda il venerdì sera nell'orario di ritorno dal lavoro, un momento strategico per chi, tornato a casa dopo una settimana di lavoro, iniziava a pianificare il sabato sera da un punto di vista fashion e del divertimento. Lo slogan della trasmissione "The weekend starts here" contrassegnava una linea di demarcazione netta la la vita quotidiana fatta di impegni e responsabilità e il fine settimana che arriva per regalare divertimento, musica e moda il tutto senza limiti.

Ready Steady Go!

Alla trasmissione hanno partecipato nel tempo gruppi del calibro dei Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Supremes, The Fortunes e molti altri hanno trovato il successo proprio sul questo palcoscenico. Ready, Steady, Go! non era una trasmissione prettamente dedicata alle bands, ma sul palco insieme ai gruppi musicali facevano la loro apparizione giovani alla moda reclutati nelle strade di Londra. Ragazze con il caschetto e minigonna, ragazzi con giacche tre bottoni e cravattino sottile questi erano i must dell'epoca creati su misura dai sarti di Carnaby Street, la via più cool e fashion della Londra odierna, che prende in eredità l'esposizione di abbigliamento sullo stile anni '60.

All'epoca quella era la strada dove i sarti cucivano i vestiti su richiesta di giovani che apprendevano la moda per l'appunto in televisione, personalizzandola secondo i gusti. Oggi Carnaby Street veste la Londra "Mod" che rivive sullo stile di quei tempi: lambretta, Merc, Ben Sherman, Fred Perry e molti altri marchi che si contraddistinguono per il loro stile Mod. Linkin Park

According to the top charts of the last 10 years, Linkin Park is the band most popular with the most number of cd sold and the most number of fans. They occupies the first position for their creativity in sound, a new style of metal which contains the consensus of the new generations. The new single "Iridescent" is also one of the soundtrack of the movie "Trasformers 3" and it's possible to listen the prewiew directly on their official web site. 

30 Seconds to Mars

At the second place we find a fantastic band (for me): 30 Seconds To Mars. They play an alternative rock that mix with progressive, nu and alternative metal, the band takes inspiration by Pink Floyd and Sex Pistols with influences of style borrowed by The Cure. The album which consacrated the band to a large public and to the success is "A Beatiful Lie". This is an earned second place with capacity and talent.

Green Day

The last step of the podium is conquered by an historical punk/rock band: The Green Day. Who remeber the time of "Basket Case"? Green Day are one of the few band that was able to change and renovate their sound without soiling their image. Fans and critics loves recently Green Day's song as well as the first ones, this is because there is a maturity in sound, in the band and in research innovation.

How to cook lighter without sacrificing taste: Stuffed Eggplants (melanzane ripiene)

My Stuffed Eggplants

Here comes the summer and bikini too, are you afraid for your fitness? Calm, it's not too late, all you have to do is reduce food portions, expecially carbohydrates, do jogging (just half an hour a day) and drink so much water. I know that cooking something light is not easy and requires a lot of imagination to get something tasty and it is here I come to your rescue with a recipe practice, light and delicious...Trust me! Well, this is my personal recipe of stuffed eggplant, let's go start...

Ingredients (4 people):

• 2 eggplants
• 4 slices of bread
• 4 slices of speck (diced/ tagliate a cubetti)
• Basil
• 2 cloves garlic
• black pepper
• salt
• olive oil
• 4 little tomatoes
• Bread crumbs

Preparation:

Clean and cut in half the eggplants, at this point remove the inside, the white soft one leaving 1 cm form the edge (a guise of a little boat), like you may see in this picture:

Do the same thing with the other eggplant and then diced the white inside. Take the slices of bread and soaking them in water. In a frying pan put a little oil, garlic and tomatoes until they will be softened. Add now diced speck, eggplants's inside and bread sponged (crumble it with hands). Let cook and mix to prevent sticking and add warm water if necessary. Little before the end of cooking add basil, salt and balck pepper, so mix again and turn off the burner.

Cooked Stuffing

 Now take one half of eggplant and fill it inside whit the stuffing just prepared (if you want you can whip the stuffing before, I do it on, like you will see by my pictures). Do the seme thing for the others halves and arrange all in a large baking dish.  Cover with bread crumbs, add alittle olive oil and bake at 200° until the edges of the eggplants are cooked.

Single portion is composed by:

An half eggplant, a slice of speck, a slice of bread, little of oil, little of salt and one tomato. Carbohydrates, proteins and fat are balanced and with few calories. Taste this dish and tell me if is not light and tasty

A touch of style:

 To give a final touch of style you can add above flakes of parmesan cheese and some basil, so it will be light, so good and so fashion...... : )

The Vaccines: rock weblog "London"

What Did You Expect From The Vaccines

With their debut album "What Did You Expect Form The Vaccines" they appeared in the European Charts presenting the public with a style borrowed from Editors and Interpool. 
The first single Wreckin' Bar (Ra Ra Ra)/ Blow it up is released on 29 november 2010, while the complete album appeared in record stores on 14 march 2011.
Justin Young, Árni Hjörvar, Freddie Cowan, Pete Robertson, these are the components' name of the indie rock band and all them came form Great Britain, framing them in the music scene of garage rock. The Vaccines have earned the designation of "Best New Band of 2011" on MTV Awards.

The Band

  The song I would to present is "All in White" not in explicit version, this is a leading one into a good first album. The Vaccines have also received positive criticism from the BBC radio presenter Zane Lowe. This is  "All in White", these are The Vaccines... I hope you enjoy the listening!
